Great hidden gem off the beaten path. The burgers were amazing and more gourmet than classic. Great place for a dining change away from French food. The atmosphere was quiet and relaxing. Great service. Personal attention!

Fantastic beef burger with friendly service. If English is your primary language, they are more than happy to help. The beef burger was more of a steak, cooked to medium rare. Had to cut it with a fork and knife. Nonetheless, it was delicious.

Delicious "burgers" in a croissant-bread kinda bun. "Burgers" because they are not real burgers but different types of meat - chicken, pork belly, lamb, beef, etc. The potatoes were also delicious

We found La Plaque on our visit to Amboise. It's supposed to be a burger bar, but that is an understatement. It offers a masterclass in burgers. I had the roast beef one with sliced of mouthwatering beef cooked :a point' with cheese and a delicious sauce. Hubby had the chicken, equally good. We followed up with ice-cream, but there's plenty of choice. You can eat indoors or in the lovely courtyard out back. The service was both friendly and efficient and our little 🐩 caniche was made welcome too. We we t back and we hope to eat there again when we return to this beautiful part of France. Worth a stop! We visited for lunch and enjoyed our meal. The staff was kind & helpful. The meals were fantastic! Like others have mentioned, these are less burger and more sandwich, but they are fantastic. We had the duck confit, and chicken burgers and both were delicious. The potato sides were light, crispy, and well seasoned. If you want a tasty lunch in a beautiful spot be sure to eat here.

Absolutely delicious, unique burgers. Very high quality all round. Lovely courtyard (covered) and open outside of the usual lunch time of 12-2pm! Would highly recommend.

This is the best burger I’ve ever had in my life. I got the duck burger and it was mind-blowing! My mom got the veggie burger and loved it. This place is a must!! It’s also so relaxing to sit outside.

Wow.. my wife and I just spent 6 days in Paris and the brasseries there don’t compare to the lunch we had here. Excellent food, casual, comfortable, with great service. We’re already thinking about going back again while we’re visiting. Thank you for the playlist too!

But the menu was very tempting. Lots of delicacies, described with great attention to detail. Very French, just packed between two halves of a bun. And way beyond what I would generally expect from burger restaurant. We had to try that after all, and were not left disappointed!
The dishes where very tasty, far from ordinary burgers, even the buns were more like crispy croissants.
For me as a lover of specialty coffee this was topped by the espresso. A wonderful, slightly fruity espresso, by far the best I enjoyed during our stay at the Loire. Completely different from the bitter, watery coffees I had the last few days, which could only be endured after adding quite some sugar. Top!- Service
